Voices From Inside

Hello, how are you?
As for myself I am primarily striving to sustain and maintain to the very best of my ability as I continue to put forth effort to remain my focus while I attempt to manage and balance my daily activities on a regular basis as I proceed to take life one step at a time.

I hope that all is well with you, family, friends and may these words reach you safe, sound and find you in pleasant health and delightful spirits with the rays of the sun shining down upon your soul brightening up your universe by bringing forth the essence, grace and blessing of tranquility, serenity and harmony into your life.
After discovering your name/address it would grant me the chance to write you a letter with the hope of creating an opportunity in which you and I can correspond, get to know one another and eventually build, develop and establish a friendship based upon sincerity, authenticity, loyalty, honesty and confindentiality.

I truly have no alterior motives, hidden agenda or manipulative objectives for writing to you. My sole purpose and only intentions are genuine. I want nothing more, other than to find someone in whom I can exchange, share my thoughts, ideas, needs, perspectives, dreams, ambitions and opinions with, pertaining to a variety of topics, issues and subject matters

I must be up front with you regarding the status of my current situation involving and relating to my incarceration. I am 32 years of age (DOB 5/23/1976) but have been incarceratd on death row at Holman prison since May 17th 2006. I am only telling you all of this because I do not want to lure you into writing me under false preteases, nor mislead you bsed upon lies, deeit or anything else of that nature.

I feel as though honesty is my best policy in terms of communicating, dialogue and conversing. But I can only hope that none of what I've said, written or revealed will prevent, discourage nor deter you from responding to my ad. I would like to request that you grant me the benefit of the doubt, nor judge a book by it's cover, but allow us the chance and opportunity to really get to know one another and then after getting to know me, use your own judge of character to form your own opintion as to who and what type of person you conclude me to be.

By no means am I attempting to portrait or paint a picture of myself as an angelic figure, because in all reality that couldn't be any further from the truth, because througout the course and duration of my life there have been flaws, abuse, faults and mistakes, false accusation. But the most important thing is to recognize all my short comings and put forth a valid effort to not only learn from them, but also grow and evolve from them as well, in hopes of making a different in my life as well as some one else's

Most people are more prone to avoid any potential friendships with a person in my predicament, due to the fact that they are quick to buy into the hype of the media whose generalization of us is the portrayal and description of savage animals, beast and predators who's cold blooded without compassion and lack the capacity to seek redemption or attain remorse.

But I assure you that their negative stereotypical images are far from accurate or entirely truth because where I am doesn't necessarily define who I am nor what I am about or who I'm striving to be.

The truth of the matter is the concept, mentality, philosohies, values and principles in which I embrace, accept or practice today at the age of 32 differ from those of my childish years.
Before I conclude, I would like to tell you a few things about myself.

I was born and raised in the state of Alabama in Macon county, in the city of Tuskege, which is located in the central (East central) part of the state. I am from a family of 4 sisters, 1 brother and my father has died since I've been on death row and my mother is still alive and going through her own stages of adversity. I have no children, 2 nieces and 1 nephew. My hobbies and interest consist of: writing, reading, drawing, weight lifting, playing basketball, volleyball, watching TV, listening to music, etc. I view myself as open-minded, honest, opinionated, fair a great listener, a person of compassion, understanding and reasoning. I am always looking to acquire knowledge, gain wisdom and extend my horizon intellectually. I am a firm believer that each individual possess the ability to teach the next person something and therefore I am always willing to learn.

First letters are always rather difficult to write. So I hope that I didn't bore you too much with this ad, but hopefully I was able to spark your interest on some level and you'll take everything I've said into consideration and decide to write. Until the next time, take great care and I hope to hear from you soon

Best wishes
Craig
