I am a 49 year old black male, who has been housed on Alabama’s Death Row for the past 20 years. For the past 16 ½ years, I have been detained on Death Row, waiting to receive a new trial, due to me not having a good lawyer, who has prepared an efficient defense. There is not much I can do, but wait and pray for a miracle on my behalf.

Since my dear mother passed away on New Year’s morning 2005, and my son was sent to prison for 12 years just 4 month later, I pretty much shut myself off from people, but that doesn’t help deal with the reality of facing traumative experiences.
