Hello, My name is Cleve Foster III. I am an inmate on Texas Death Row and have been here just over one year now. I am not sure what all I can put in this letter to you but there are several others here that tell me my case needs to be put on the internet because after going on my transcript appeal briefs, they tell me they’ve never seen such a misuse of justice. I will gladly write to whom ever would like to listen and know the truth, and I will tell you this!!! I am a 21 year Veteran of the US Army and my last duty station was Forth Worth, Texas as a recruiter and it was only a matter of weeks after my E.T.S., when this nightmare occurred. What I do not understand is, even after the person who did this crime came forward and gave a detailed confession, I remained in Jail and during my trial the judge spent what was to be 13 pages telling the prosecution they had nothing and still my trial went on. I asked my attorney’s why; they replied had she (the judge) stopped the trial, it would have damaged her political career had she stopped it. I was convicted February, 2004 and am now on death row waiting to die for a crime another man has confessed to. I am not a rich man nor was my family able to hire the proper lawyer’s willing to fight and prove my innocence. I do enjoy writing people, so if you’d like to write please do, I would also like to ask those who pray, please add me to your prayer list. My personal information well I am 41 years old (10/24/63), divorced with one son who’s name is Michael. Born in Henderson Kentucky. Love to travel and do anything outdoors, such as hunting, fishing, camping, just you name it. I enjoy doing the handy man kinda things around the house also like to bowl, play soft ball, volleyball and golf. Bottom line, I love hearing from people, so give me a chance of knowing you, allowing me the chance to let you know me. AKA’s Sarge or Duke Sincerely Cleve Foster
