My name is Hector Garcia, and at the moment I’m on Death Row, here in Livingston, Texas. I am 43 years of Age (DoB May 10, 1961). I was born in Mexico and I been teaching myself a bit of English since 2001, because I would like to find some good friends out there in the free world, so now I can write and read English, and of course also Spanish. I have been on Death Row for 14 years (1990).

Why do I ask for friendship? Well, here on Death Row I pass my days very sad and lonely and I know that any day can be my last day… I am a very open-minded person and with good sense of humor. I like to talk and listen, I love the outdoors and I love all kind of animals, I like all kind of music, what about you? What do you like? Or don’t like? I am catholic, but more important I believe in God, and I respect all religions and belief.

For that reason I would love to have some good friends just like you!!!

And that way at least I can have good friends for my few days left, and that way those last days can be of happiness. So go ahead pick up a pen and paper and write me, and you can tell me also all the things you want and wish to share with me, and also you can ask me all what you want and wish to know about me, remember that for friendship and love, there is no color, age, gender, and no barrier.
